Local oversight, day-to-day management and a children’s structure that holds the Centre accountable.
A Management Board which is formed by local people from various academic backgrounds serves as the overseer of the progress of Siyakhana towards realization of its vision and the impact of the programmes of Siyakhana in the target group.
The Shelter Manager serves as the engine in the invention and implementation of child care interventions, in line with the vision of the Centre, the needs of the beneficiaries and national child care regulations.
Management Committee which is formed by the Manager, Administration Clerk and two Senior Child Care Workers looks at urgent management issues including staff issues and child care, and make decisions and report them to the Board for endorsement or review.
Children’s Forum, a structure formed by 7 children staying in the shelter and 2 from outside the shelter, oversees that the staff adheres to the basic children’s rights and that children adhere to their responsibility. This forum reports to the Shelter Manager and has the power to report the Manager to the Board if unfavorable responses are made by the Manager
